Our Time Will Come won the opening race at Ascot yesterday in fine style. She wore saddle cloth 10 and she certainly was a 10, both in looks and performance. She jumped well and sat outside the front runner, with full marks to Craig Staples who didn't get into a speed war with the leader and overhauled her in the straight to win by three-quarters of a length. It was a great peformance coming off only a 400m trial, and she showed great maturity. Also Craig's dedication and expertise in the early hours of the morning to school this filly have produced this terrific result. It was great to see so many happy and excited owners in the mounting enclosure as she was coming back to scale. The photo is Our Time Will Come (Barb) returning after her victory.
