Passion Cantata wins her fourth race in grand style with a margin of two and a half lengths to the second horse. She sat in the one out one back line behind the leaders and on straightening rounded them quickly pulling away to win with something in hand. At the start of last week we faced a conundrum when the barriers for the WA Guineas came out and she had drawn barrier 16. So on Tuesday we nominated for the race she won yesterday and the Jungle Mist. It seemed a no-brainer to me which race to run in for drawing barrier 2, and with the stakes and bonuses, only winning or running second in the Guineas would bring a better financial reward. It was great to get support from her many owners and I always get a kick from watching owners winning. We will monitor her progress before we decide on her next race.
