Jacobyte raced with his normal gusto and was very brave in holding onto a slender winning margin, even though the second horse had a 3kg advantage over him. Then on Thursday Lisetta, who has had surgery to correct a breathing defect, trounced her rivals in a maiden at Pinjarra in nearly two seconds quicker than the other division. It's been a great week and we still have View The Stars representing the stable in a 1400m three year old race on Saturday.
Milestones this week – Nick Melville had his 80th winner with us following Jacobyte's win on Wednesday. Roll on number 100!
Laura and I wish to thank all our owners for their continued support and friendship. It never ceases to amaze me the joy winning a race brings. With Lisetta's win yesterday the girls from Len's shop celebrated with hoots, laughs and giggles, and then champagne. It's great to see everyone having a good time.
