On Wednesday Believe You Can provided a gutsy performance in winning the last race at Belmont. She jumped well, sat behind the leaders and, although she hung out a little in the straight, she had enough in reserve to hold off the opposition in the run to the line.
Then on Thursday at Northam The High Road brought his best form to the track. He jumped well and was ridden to hold the front. Ryan then held him together and didn't go for him until 200m from the line where he picked up the pace and comfortably held his winning margin.
