All our horses performed well on Sunday in the Avon valley. Modo Mio was engaged in a speed battle and fought off his competitor only to succumb to another that was having a perfect run behind him.

Heirless ran his best race to date in running fifth and showed a tendency to be suited by a longer event.

Right Time ran super and was engaged in a two horse war with Beach Express who got the better of him in the last 50m and then it was three lengths to the third horse. Congratulations to the connections of Beach Express and I'm sure these two will be racing against each other in open short course races.

Advantage Norman eased the tiredness out of the long day by dominating and winning the last race. He was caught three deep most of the way and strode out boldly to win by a length.

Laura and I would like to thank Craig Staples, Campbell McCullum, Brad Parnham and apprentice Aaron Mitchell, who has a one hundred per cent record with us – one ride for one win – for their very good rides on Sunday.

Also we'd like to thank Amy and the staff for their dedication to duty.
