Castle Queen has added to Clarecastle's record as a brood mare as she becomes the third winner of three foals. Castle Queen put up a great effort at Bunbury to win her maiden. She beat a very talented youngster from Jimmy Taylor's stable, scoring by a short neck.
She's had quite a few problems with a hairline fracture in her near fore canon bone and then we've had a few breathing issues which, after a lot of help from the vets at Perth Equine Clinic, it seems that we have managed to overcome. We're looking forward to her next start, hopefully at Ascot in the next couple of weeks.
