On a spring day in the Avon valley, after running a number of places, Carnelian broke through for a strong win at Toodyay. Congratulations to not only the owners of Carnelian but also to Toodyay Race Club who put on a wonderful race day where a carnival atmosphere was enjoyed by all. it was a great ride by Lisa Staples who sat in behind the leaders and forced a run at the top of the straight to overcome a horse that looked like he had a winning break in the last 50m.
