On a winter's day at Pinjarra Amourio won his maiden in fine style. He jumped well, sat behind the leader, got out from behind him on straightening and ran to the line with a little bit in reserve to score his first win. It was a great ride by Craig Staples who was having his first ride back after an injury enforced layoff with a damaged hand and wrist. The photo is of Craig and Amourio returning to scale.
