It's been a tough weekend – our horses have raced well but we just needed a little bit of luck to go our way. Amourio started it off being beaten a very short head in the first race at Ascot on Saturday. Of our other runners that day, Coruscation put in the best performance finishing fifth, running on at the end of the race, and should be better suited by 1200m.
Then it was off to Bunbury on Sunday. The High Road ran second after leading and being challenged mid race and was just run over by a swooper in the final 50m. Fire Born ran a great third in the $100,000 Listed Breeders Plate. Her run was full of merit as it was her first race at 1400m.
