Passion Cantata won her fifth race with an impressive, strong performance on Saturday. She sat behind the leaders in running, was galloped on as she worked her way from the rails, made her run at about the 500m mark, then took the lead on straightning and had a ding-dong fight down the straight with Danehil Rose who ran second by half a length. It was five and three- quarter lengths to the third horse.
She has pulled up very well from her win and we are looking toward the Group 3 Lee-Steere Stakes over 1400m in a fortnight.
Another milestone was reached on Saturday with Paul Van Loenhout getting his 100th winner at the races. So congratulations to Paul and let's hope we can get to 200 very quickly!
