Democratism won a very hard fought three year old race after being run off on the point of the turn and bumped on straightening. This effort proves that she's above average, for many horses, if they have to overcome any interference in a race, are usually found wanting. In the preliminary stewards report they only questioned the rider who ran off. If there has been no embargo on either rider or horse I'll make a point of speaking to Brad Lewis, the chief steward, about this incident.
